OUR PHILOSOPHY
Welcome to Valley Trails. We are a dedicated pet care team based right here in Huddersfield, out on the moors in all weathers. We believe that dogs need proper, muddy-paws adventure, not just a quick plod along the pavement. That is why we trade urban streets for the rugged, open spaces of the Colne and Holme Valleys.
Our approach is straightforward but highly professional: we take small, carefully matched packs out into the countryside so they can safely explore, socialise, and burn off energy. Structure is everything out on the trails. We keep our numbers strictly limited so every dog gets the right attention, keeping the pack safe and completely harmonious. At the end of a good trek, we make sure they are returned to your doorstep clean(ish), as dry as we can with our famous Yorkshire weather, and thoroughly relaxed.
Because we all know what the Yorkshire weather can be like, we also run an exclusive indoor dog soft play center. It means the pack never misses out on a brilliant, enriching run-around, even when it is howling a gale up on the peaks.
But we aren't just about the dogs. If you are heading away on holiday, our dedicated cat sitting service means we can pop in to feed, fuss, and check on your felines right in the comfort of their own home. We also offer bespoke wedding and event chaperoning, ensuring your animals are expertly managed on your big day.
We are incredibly proud of the countryside we work in, which is why we operate a fully electric, zero-emission van to help look after the local landscape. At Valley Trails, we combine raw outdoor adventure with a premium service you can truly rely on.

Hi, I’m Billy, the founder of Valley Trails. My life has always been shaped by these moorlands. From growing up and exploring the Colne and Holme Valleys, to being a Countryside Ranger, I developed a deep respect for the wild West Yorkshire terrain and the unique way a dog connects with the open country.
Valley Trails was born directly from that bond, inspired daily by my own dogs, JJ, Bagel, Gus, Bella & Batman. I wanted to build a service that wasn't just about convenience, but about true canine fulfillment wrapped up in a bespoke premium package.
